Privacy matters especially when conversations are personal.

What Zevedaios processes

Messages entered in the chat are sent through the Zevedaios server to OpenAI so a response can be generated. Account, conversation and profile data are stored using Supabase. Do not enter information you are not comfortable sharing with these services during beta testing.

Accounts, conversations and memory

When you begin without entering login details, Zevedaios creates a temporary trial identity so the conversation can be kept safely. You can later connect that same journey to your email and password. Zevedaios saves conversations and may create suggested memories, Journey entries, ongoing threads and cautious profile observations to provide continuity across conversations. Suggested memories and profile observations do not enter future chat context unless you confirm them.

Conversation titles and messages saved by Zevedaios are encrypted by the application before being stored. Other account and profile records are protected through Supabase access controls but should not be treated as anonymous data.

Optional questionnaire and Portrait

The questionnaire runs in your browser. The full questionnaire includes self-report statements about social behaviour, concern for others, organisation, emotional responses and engagement with ideas; it is not a mental-health diagnosis. Three optional everyday questions add context without changing the questionnaire scores. Unsaved answers are lost when you refresh or close the page. If you choose to pause with a browser draft or sign in to save a result, an encrypted, HTTP-only browser cookie holds it for up to 30 minutes; you still review it before saving to an account. A saved Portrait contains your current answers, optional everyday answers, kept and dismissed findings, question-set version, chat permission and chosen illustration or character. The application encrypts it in an owner-only Supabase record. Retaking does not overwrite it until you confirm a replacement; we do not retain previous questionnaire versions in this release.

You can reject findings or delete the questionnaire record in Portrait. Saving does not automatically add it to chat memory. If you separately opt in, Zevedaios may use your kept findings and relevant everyday answers as tentative context for a future chat about a related topic. You can turn this permission off by saving your Portrait again, or delete the Portrait; neither action erases separate chat messages already sent. “Talk about this” prepares one selected finding as an editable message. If you send it, normal chat storage and memory rules apply. Downloaded share cards exclude emotional-response findings and contain only the other findings you select and are not uploaded or posted automatically. Copies you share cannot be recalled.

When available, the optional character feature stores one chosen character, a pause preference and character suggestions you set aside in the same encrypted Portrait. A starting character may be suggested only when both your questionnaire and everyday answers support it; you decide whether to keep it. Characters and creative variations are for fun, not validated personality types. An optional review reads only your own confirmed observations in selected interests and everyday-preference categories. You choose which notes to use and which themes fit; this does not scan new messages or make an AI request. Notes and theme selections are not copied into the character record. Previewing does not change your saved character, and a change is saved only when you confirm it. Deleting Portrait removes this character choice, not the separate observations in your profile.

Character names and themes appear on downloaded cards only if you choose to include them; the private notes behind suggestions are not included. First-party questionnaire analytics record only stages such as starting, completing, saving and choosing to chat. Answers, selected findings, characters, illustrations and result content are not included or used for ad targeting.

Membership payments

If you choose the optional membership, Stripe processes the checkout, recurring payment, invoices and billing-portal activity. Zevedaios stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, membership status, renewal timing and cancellation status so the Account page can display and manage the membership. Zevedaios does not store your full card number.

Product and acquisition analytics

Zevedaios records limited first-party events such as landing-page views, conversation starts, coarse message-count milestones, account conversion, pricing views and subscription status. Campaign labels from standard UTM parameters may be retained for up to 90 days and connected to a temporary or permanent account so the service can understand which acquisition efforts lead to retained use. Conversation text, Journal content, memories, profile reflections, names, email addresses and payment details are not included in marketing analytics event payloads.

Your controls during the public beta

Signed-in users can review and remove saved conversations, memories and Journey entries from their account pages. Ongoing threads and profile observations can be reviewed and removed from Manage Memory. The Account & Data page provides permanent deletion of the account and its connected personal information. Account deletion also requests immediate cancellation of an active Stripe membership. Stripe may retain transaction records where needed for payment processing, fraud prevention or legal compliance. A self-service data export is not yet available during beta.

Automated safety monitoring

Submitted chat messages may be automatically classified for signs of self-harm, violence, exploitation, illegal wrongdoing or other serious safety concerns. Potential concerns may be placed in a restricted review queue without interrupting the conversation or displaying a flag in the chat. A safety flag is a signal for review, not proof that a user has done anything wrong.

The review queue links to the encrypted message already stored for the conversation rather than creating a second copy of the message. Access should be limited to authorised safety administrators and handled under documented retention and escalation procedures.

Biblical Lens

Zevedaios is openly Christian in its identity and foundational values. The Biblical Lens remains optional and uses confirmed profile information only when you choose it. More explicit Scripture or prayer may also arise when relevant and welcomed. Zevedaios is not a pastor, spiritual authority or source of divine revelation.

Beta limitations and future changes

Zevedaios is still developing its retention procedures, data-export tools and support processes. This notice will be updated before any material change to how personal information is collected or used.
